Hey all, i have a question. I got an other video card from someone, but i don't think it's much different then the running now. I compared them online: www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=141&card2=24#Video card running: NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X Not installed: ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Do you think i should give it a try or wouldn't it make such a difference? Let the geek talk begin Grtz The Mamba

Lol, They're both old, but if you say you compared them and that you almost couldn't find any diffrences, I would always choose for NVIDIA because in all the refrences I've read, NVIDIA is always the better card in the tests. But why don't you just try it. Klick it in and play I would say. BTW I have a XFX NVIDIA 8800GTS (correction) PCI-E that card rocks. I can play flight simulator X (one of the most demanding games for your graphics card) at almost the highest graphic settings.

@mamba 9700Pro is much faster then your old 4200TI, you can see that on the bandwith rates youre GPU can send threw. And also its faster GPU will lower your CPU useage on critical rendering situations. Mamba If i were you i would buy a Nvidia Geforce 7300GS for agp 8x slot, it costs about 10-15 Euros. And is a lot faster then youre old school grafik cards. ***-=MLT=- [eXe]CutiveYou spended your money for something stupid Why didnt you buy a 9800GX 2 ?? 9800GTX about 40 percent slower then 9800GTX x2 and costs nearly the same. www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=560&card2=559(btw theres not 9800GTS Nvidia got just 8600GTS or 8800GTS, but not 9800GTS ) (I got 2 of them (sli) in my system. ) Grtz

I have a 8800GTS when I bought it, it was the best card on the market at that moment. And about stupid money spending, why do you have two of these cards? Almost all of the best games on the market atm can be played at the highest resolution with one of them.

1. You edited your post, you wrote you got a 9800GTS maybe you had a tipp mistake... finaly now you changed it. 2. I got 2 of them in my PC becouse im hardly working with my computer on creating high resoultion animations for websites, if theyre not comprimied theyre just lagging your computer down, and work is not possible anymore. Another reason is that i got them cheap at ebay Btw: Are you also angry becouse Nvidia settet up a 8800GT with more performance and less costs ? Everyone that got a 8800GTS is grtz

Else i wouldn't even have a PC to play on. Imagine having no Enemy Territory

Yes, it probably is. That isn't the problem, i'm beginning to have other problems on my PC. While i'm playing he sometimes shuts down and restarts, so i thought maybe my NVIDIA didn't work well enough. I replaced it with my other old grafic card (Radeon 9700), and today all of a sudden he shuts down again. So before i start buying other components i need to check on what causes it. And with my exams starting tomorrow i don't have much time. And another BIG problem: €€€€€€ or £££££££ or $$$$$$ But if i'm interested i'll send col a PM Btw {nb} is your forum offline? Couldn't get online there today.Grtz
